American Guarantee has over 30 years of certifications. Its growth and vitality have confirmed the confidence of industry professionals and our co-sponsoring organizations who recognized the need for credentials in Career Management and Continue Education.

American Guarantee is a freestanding non-profit, public-benefit organization, chartered in the State of California where its administrative process resides.

American Guarantee is active with the International Association of Career Management Professional (IACMP). It thereby meets a key requirement of the National Organization for Competency Assurance that guarantees the integrity of all professional credentials.

Company Structure

American Guarantee employs the format of the “University without walls” which has proven effective in adult and continuing education over the past three decades. At its core is a Board of Fellows who serves as sponsors, evaluators and arbiters of excellence in the Career Management field. They are located worldwide in geographical areas where there are concentrations of independent career management practitioners and corporate career management professionals.

A team of Fellows reviews the career management experience portfolios submitted to American Guarantee by applicants. The AOCFI Boards appointed the initial groups of Charter Fellows. Based on successful review of applicants’ portfolios, new Fellows and Certificants are nominated by the Fellows for appointment by the Governing Board.

Company Goals

To improve, on a continuing and systematic basis, the level of professionalism in the Career Management field.

To provide recognition to career management professionals who have proven knowledge of the general principles and practices of career management, and who have demonstrated a high level of achievement and conduct in the practice of the career management profession.

To educate the public, career management clients and members of career management-sponsoring organizations of the qualifications of career management professionals;

To encourage and assist career management professionals in maintaining and increasing their knowledge and competence through continuing education and professional development activities;

To encourage career management professionals to participate regularly in the various benefits to members of the American Guarantee sponsoring organizations, the International Association of Career Management Professional and the Association of Career Management Consulting International.

Portfolio Structure

The American Guarantee Board for Career Management Certification is established and maintains high standards for quality in the industry.

American Guarantee is working to understand the needs of the workplace and the opportunities that exist for career professionals. The International Association of Career Management Professional (IACMP) promotes the standards and development of individuals in the profession. The Association of Career Management Firms International (AOCFI) is committed to having career firms proactively meet the needs of the workplace through ethical practices. American Guarantee is the association that focuses on establishing standard of excellence and a mechanism for assuring individuals and organizations that career professionals have the training and the background they need to lead others through work and life transitions.

The Board of Governors of American Guarantee has recently committed to a revitalization of the process in the certifying board. The plan is to make the credentials more diligent and meaningful. To achieve this, the following steps have been agreed upon:

1. A 12-month period will be used to examine the entire certification process, standards, and competencies.

2. Everything will be re-examined, to help meet current workplace needs.

3. There will be on-going communication about the goals and progress with certificants and the sponsoring organizations and University.

4. A clear action plan with steps, timeframe, and a mechanism for monitoring progress will be established.

5. A test will be provided by American Guarantee to all qualify applicant for the final Certify Professional.

6. All information provided by the applicant must be proven to be true and active. American Guarantee holds the right to refuse any Certifications that do not hold to be true or active, as the applicant has provided.

7. All decisions made by American Guarantee will be final. All Certifications will be verified with the Co-sponsoring University.

Application

All qualify applicants will need to provide a copy of the Certificate of Completion from the State University. The certificate must be in the form of an attachment by e-mail to American Guarantee. The Certificate of Completion will then be verify by each University, then an test sheet will then be e-mail to each applicant. All test answers should be reply within 3 months period and with the passing score of 70% and above. Any applicant who shall expire the 3 months period or with test score below 70% will be terminated.
